Robert Half International Desktop Support Analyst in Irvine, California
This Desktop Support Technician role with Robert Half Technology requires a flair for clearly breaking down and explaining convoluted technical information in a way that is easily understood by non-technical users. To thrive in this position, you will need to be a self-starter, with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for working in an innovative environment. This Desktop Support Analyst position, which is a long-term temporary opportunity, is located in the Philadelphia, PA area.
Hardware repairs with the appropriate vendors
Offer computer desktop support in accordance with established policies and procedures
Fix computer problems, and recommend appropriate action/solutions
Offer support on a variety of computer hardware and software issues by identifying, researching, and resolving technical problems
Develop records of daily data communication transactions, issues and remedial actions taken or installation activities
Support, examine, and repair computer systems, hardware, printers, and computer peripherals
Communicate regularly and effectively with ticket submitters
Able to perform effectively in a team environment as well as with little direct supervision
Customer service oriented team player with first-rate communication, documentation, organizational, problem solving, written and verbal skills.
Ability to understand, analyze and resolve problems, while on the phone or on-site with user.
Must have working knowledge of many various pieces of equipment and software including printers, terminals, PCs, networking and telecommunication hardware, etc. Knowledge and understanding of issues inherent to
Microsoft software including, but not limited to security, deployment, imaging, auditing, licensing and compliance; deployment and upgrading; features and functionality.
Organized with the ability to follow established processes and provide recommendations for improvements.
Ability to analyze and solve problems by investigating and implementing predefined potential solutions using troubleshooting skills
High school degree required.
Some College preferred.
Technical School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years experience providing EUD support, Service Desk support or equivalent experience/knowledge
Preferred: A+ Certification
Preferred and not required: ACSP, MCP, MCSA, ITIL Foundations, CCNA, Lexmark & Lenovo Self Maintainer
Working knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite.
